Delhi Capitals host Sunrisers Hyderabad at home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in the New Delhi.
The 16th match of the ongoing 12th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Delhi. In what will be Capitals’ third home game, they would be desperate to attain consistency and not appear keen on not banking on situations from where they can win matches.
Sunrisers Hyderabad come into the fixture as firm favourites to beat Delhi Capitals who have not exactly had a reversal of fortunes after the name change. Delhi Capitals have looked good in phases but have twice now suffered a miserable collapse – winning one and losing one.
Sunrisers Hyderabad are at the third place in the points table with two wins and one loss while Delhi Capitals are at the fifth spot with two wins and two losses from four matches.
Two sides with a very similar start to the new campaign, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, go head-to-head in a bid to continue their stay in the top four of the Indian Premier League 2019 standings.
Jonny Bairstow and David Warner looked at their best against Royal Challengers Bangalore, scoring a century each, and containing them would be the biggest headache for Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer after he saw his side lose 7 wickets for just 8 runs as their chase of 167 runs against Kings XI Punjab derailed in an astonishing manner.
The fixture will also see David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan take on their former sides and the two are presently also the top-scoring players in this particular fixture for their current teams. Dhawan (357) leads the charts for Delhi, while Warner (276) does the same for Hyderabad.
Delhi’s Chris Morris (5 wickets) is the most productive bowler for the franchise in this particular fixture, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5 wickets) has the same number of dismissals to his name for the Sunrisers.
